Geoff has over 20 years experience in the healthcare and biotechnology market. Geoff's roles have progressed from pure research to sales and marketing roles through to Managing Director level and Board seats. Previously Managing Director of Roche Diagnostic Systems - Oceania Regional Centre, where he transformed a loss making business to one achieving over 30% compound annual growth over a four year period and the highest profitability levels in Roche's global organisation. Geoff was also Managing Director and CEO of an Australian based biotechnology company commercialising a range of products in cancer diagnosis and treatment. During his tenure he was responsible for taking research from Sydney University through to product registration. This involved capital raising, managing Intellectual Property, investor relations and forging links with relevant international partners.
N. Joe Maeji, PhD

Joe has more than 20 years of experience in the management of industry R&D, and commercialisation of products and technologies at the interface of chemistry and biology. He has background and experience in successfully securing funding for development of new technologies, as well as analysis and positioning of Intellectual Property in support of their commercialisation. Joe was a co-founder of the company that became Anteo Diagnostics as well as its founding CEO. Previously, he held senior management positions in Mimotopes Pty Ltd, Melbourne, Australia and in Chiron Corporation, San Francisco, USA. Joe has a BSc in chemistry, MPhil in enzymology and PhD in Polymer Engineering (Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan).
Nevin Abernethy, PhD
Head of Product Development and Research
Nevin joined Anteo Diagnostics in August 2007 following 13 years in the corporate science sector in New Zealand, where he held senior scientific leadership positions with Genesis Research and Development Corp, Living Cell Technologies, and AgResearch. Nevin has a strong background in scientific project management, and he has considerable experience in immunoassay and bioassay development in the pre-clinical, product development, and clinical development arenas. Canadian by birth, Nevin obtained his PhD in experimental pathology at the University of Toronto in 1989, and he subsequently held academic post-doctoral positions in Toronto, Melbourne, and Auckland.
